About me
Who am I, and why am I here.
Let me introduce myself…
I am in Recreation and Health Education in the Faculty of Health. I am taking this as my major because I have spent my life as a swimmer. Starting from the young age of six I’ve been a competitive swimmer, working my way up to earning my first national qualifying time at the age of twelve. I have extensive knowledge of swimming from my times on the provincial and national stage, and intend to use that knowledge to help the next generations of swimmers. With this degree I’ll be able to become a head coach even at some of the biggest clubs in Canada, which would be my eventual dream job.
I wanted to take this course as an elective as I believe that it will help prepare me on how I can teach online should the need ever come up. I also am hoping that I can learn more about how to present some of what I know through multimedia, as being able to teach and communicate through multiple different methods is imperative to know as an educator.
What I am interested in…
- I am a very hands on learner, I need to do something a few times before I fully understand it. I also learn well from seeing something happen and then replicating it.
- I’m excited most to learn more about multimedia design and storytelling.
- I’ve made slideshows with videos, pictures, and audio all combined into one presentation.
